Ecobuild
Ecobuild is a project I founded with the goal of creating safe, sustainable, and engaging playgrounds for underprivileged children. Growing up with a passion for architecture and environmental sustainability, I wanted to use my skills to address the lack of accessible play spaces in underserved communities. Ecobuild focuses on constructing playgrounds using upcycled materials like old tires, PVC pipes, and paint cans—things that would otherwise end up as waste. What makes these playgrounds unique is that their designs are inspired by the vibrant Telangana fabrics and local festivals, blending cultural heritage with functional spaces.
Sustainability is at the heart of this initiative. By repurposing materials, we’re reducing environmental impact while creating durable, low-cost playgrounds. My aim was to design spaces that not only encourage physical activity and creativity but also reflect the local community’s culture and identity. These playgrounds are built to last, easy to maintain, and cost-efficient, making them a practical solution for local governments and NGOs.
One of the key achievements for Ecobuild has been our collaboration with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which has enabled us to expand our reach and bring these playgrounds to more areas across the city.
At its core, Ecobuild is about more than just playgrounds—it’s about empowering communities through sustainable design. For me, it’s incredibly fulfilling to know that these playgrounds will offer children not only a safe space to play but also a symbol of creativity and environmental consciousness. This project represents my belief in merging architecture with social impact, and I’m excited to see how it will continue to grow.
